Basement Boys Music was established in 1988.  We have been building a catalog of quality songs in many genres.   We have written and produced international hits like Crystal Waters' "Gypsy Woman" (Gold). Do you remember that song?  Maybe you heard the more recent TI song "Why You Wanna", it's a sample of "Gypsy Woman".   Our catalog is full of similar samples and excellent songs waiting to be covered.  Other hits were Crystal Waters' "100% Pure Love" (Gold -One of ASCAP's 1995 Pop Awards winners-Top 50 most played songs), Ghetto Day, Mass Order's "Lift Every Voice (Take Me Away),  Ultra Nate's "It's Over Now", "Sands of Time", Ann Nesby's "Praisin' His Name", Marcell Russell's "Hopes Too High"  Russell Taylor's "Fool 4 Love" and many, many more.  

We have a team of producers and songwriters constantly writing hit songs.  The team is available for co-writes and collaborations.   All the songs in our catalog are available to be sampled or covered.  Our team has two new writers who are very strong in writing R&B hits.   Music writer Hoza Clowney has written and played with Faith Evans, Bad Boy Records and others.   He is collaborating with a fantastic young lyricist Patricia Edwards.  Sample their writing skills by clicking on a title to the right.
